An airy, upward sweeping, deep-violet haze is combined with the herbal aroma of the finely dissected gray-green foliage. The slender, light-seeking panicles remain in flower for up to 15 weeks. PPA Perennial Plant of the Year 1995.
Russian sage performs well positioned in full sun in well-drained soil. An excellent filling plant for the border. The gray stems remain attractive in the winter.Hardy zone: 5-9
