Abies nordmanniana - Caucasican fir

Do you also feel like we exaggerate a lot, saying how exquisite, gorgeous or stunning a plant is? Well, you’d better get used to it :-) We just cannot help ourselves when we see for instance this Caucasian fir. Its short needles densely cover the branches; they are deep green and very glossy, with silvery undersides.

The growth is dense, narrow, and conical, and very slow so believe us that every centimeter has its value. It needs a moist spot because this fir is not drought tolerant, however, it must not stand in water.
