Malva sylvestris 'Zebrina' - French Hollyhock

This Old-Fashioned Striped Favorite Can Really Take the Heat! Masses of 2-inch lavender blooms, striped with purple, all summer long! This delightful charmer looks like it came from Grandmother's garden (and it probably did!), with soft lavender blooms merrily striped and scored in deep purple. The neatly-spaced petals have a notched form reminiscent of four-leaved clover, and the merry white eye completes the effect of whimsical charm and exquisite detail! Masses of these 2-inch blooms arise along strong 2 1/2-foot spikes all summer long.

These plants are much more tolerant of hot weather than most Hollyhock Mallows, and their superb resistance to disease means even more blooms among fresh green foliage. A wonderful background plant!
