Cornus canadensis
Cornus canadensis is a creeping species that does not exceed 20 cm. in height. Its leaves display an exceptionally beautiful shape and are bright green in colour. Like almost all members of this genus, the slightly arched veins in its leaves are easily visible.

The true flowers are green in colour but are surrounded by showy white bracts. They flower from June to July. In September, the green berries turn a bright red and are edible. Cornus canadensis is shown to best advantage in a partially shaded location.
